Lee Harper began his design practice in 1997 after 25 years as an antiques dealer. Specialising in 17th, 18th and 19th century furniture from France, Italy, Spain and Britain, Lee made frequent buying trips to Europe, where he developed his “eye” for classical proportions and his appreciation of craftsmanship and quality materials.

Lee’s mid-life career change freed him from the restrictions of retail shop keeping, and gave expression to his long-standing passion for architecture and design.

His one-man practice typically completes two to three major residential commissions each year along with many smaller projects and one or two commercial fit-outs.

Residential extension and renovations, apartment refurbishments, country and beach houses, offices, retail shops and restaurants are all part of Lee’s design experience and expertise.

Lee Harper’s “style” is contemporary and sophisticated. Understated luxury, unpretentious and classical common sense design are his trademarks. Lee’s interiors stand the test of time and simply refuse to date or lose their characteristic sense of feeling “just right”!

Every Lee Harper concept is uniquely crafted to complement the personalities of the property and its owners.
